Die bisherige Vizepräsidentin Leni Robredo stammt aus Bicol. Bisher hat sie noch nicht zugesagt, bei den nächsten Wahlen zu kandidieren. Aber in Bicol gibt es viele Unterstützer, die unter dem Motto "Bicol Solid for Leni" dazu aufrufen, sie für eine Kandidatur zu unterstützen. Mehr:

Derweil kritisierte die Vizepräsidentin zum fünften Jahrestag des Urteil des Ständigen Schiedsgerichts in Den Haag vom 12. Juli 2016, dass es fünf Jahre verpasster Chancen waren.
Zitat:“Today marks five years of missed opportunities regarding the West Philippine Sea,” Robredo said in a statement.
Robredo stressed that the Duterte administration has yet to fully utilize the ruling of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague on July 12, 2016 to pursue the country’s national interests.
